The ITAG®4 SP is the temperature monitoring device approved by CIO | Cargo Insure Online for use with the Airfreight Temperature Integrity Coverage. Attach one to every shipment before departure — it records the full temperature history, auto-generates an encrypted PDF report on arrival, and provides the objective sensor evidence that forms the basis of any temperature claim under CIO's policy.

Activate before departure
Press the Start/Stop button for 3 seconds before packing. The ITAG®4 SP begins recording temperature at the configured interval. Confirm the LCD shows the running status before sealing the shipment.

Travels with your cargo
The logger records continuously throughout the entire journey — land pickup, airport ground handling, flight, any transit connection, and final delivery — for up to 120 days. No action required during transit.

Plug in and download on arrival
Connect to any USB port at destination. An encrypted PDF report is generated automatically — no software, no login, no cable. The report contains the full temperature graph, alarm events, statistics, and tabular data. This file is the objective evidence for any CIO temperature claim.

How to use the ITAG®4 SP with your CIO policy

Configure online before packing
Use the TempSen online configuration utility to set alarm thresholds matching your commodity's CIO parameters — for example 0°C / +2°C for fresh salmon, or +2°C / +8°C for pharma. Set a logging interval of 5 or 10 minutes for air cargo.

Place correctly inside the shipment
The ITAG®4 SP must be placed inside the thermal envelope, in immediate proximity to the product. For fresh salmon: between the fillets and the gel packs, not against the outer container wall. The sensor must record the air temperature surrounding the goods — not the packaging surface. Incorrect placement may affect claim validity.

Press Start and seal
Press the Start/Stop button for 3 seconds to begin recording. Confirm the LCD shows the running status. Seal the shipment. The logger records continuously until manually stopped or memory is full.

Download and submit on arrival
Plug into any USB port at destination. The encrypted PDF generates automatically — no software needed. If a temperature excursion occurred beyond the CIO trigger duration for your commodity and physical damage is present, submit the PDF as part of your CIO claim.
